KAPOW!! Oz Comic-Con Melbourne 2015 a total knockout
Colourful cosplayers were just some of the tens of thousands of fans who unleashed their inner geek at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 27-28 June, marking this as the biggest and best Oz Comic-Con to date.
Excited fans of everything from The Evil Dead to Hart of Dixie were able to meet the stars of their favourite TV shows and films, posing for professional photos, chatting during autograph signings and asking questions during exclusive panels.
Some of the many guests in attendance included Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead), Jason Momoa and Keisha Castle-Hughes (Game of Thrones), David Wenham and Billy Boyd (Lord of the Rings), Emma Caulfield and Amber Benson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie).
The excited laughter of children could be heard throughout the convention all weekend, as families flocked to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre to kick-off their school holidays. Other fun-packed activities included the Red Bull Silent Disco, The Walking Dead green screen from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment, and loads of fabulous retail stands packed with geeky goodies.
The fun’s not over yet for Oz Comic-Con in 2015, with shows still to come in Brisbane (Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, September 19-20) and Sydney (Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island, September 26-27). For more details of the show, please visit www.ozcomiccon.com.
