RAFFLES A RUNAWAY SUCCESS ON THE RUNWAY
Yesterday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, seven of Australia’s finest emerging designers showcased their ten ready-to-wear pieces in the Raffles International Showcase at Carriageworks.
The seven talented students are some of Raffles’ most accomplished and distinguished alumni. From a diversity of backgrounds, hailing from Vietnam, Thailand and the US, as well as Australia, the students debuted their stunning creations on the star-studded runway. The designer collections appeared as follows.
Rebecca Deasy, Occupants:
Rebecca draws influence from personal encounters, past and present creative characters and Australian nonchalance when it comes to fashion.

A collection that consists of modern, sleek and timeless designs for women from a designer who has interned for top names including Carla Zampatti, Alice McCall and Josh Goot.

Ashleigh Kwong:
Ashleigh’s garments are inspired by Japanese Zen gardens – fresh, modern and elegant but with an edgy twist evoking beauty and serenity.
